Fantastic for The Nun, and deserved IMO.

Thats really solid for Peppermint too, the B+ cinemascore shows a bit of disconnect on this one with critics.

Crazy Rich Asians doesn’t get to $200m with those numbers. But it could’ve stopped playing last weekend and still been a massive hit.

Fantastic for Nun. If only the movie was good, the sky would be the limit for it and the Conjuring series going forward.

Thats whats bothering me too. I could see something like a 55M+ OW and 150M+ DOM total, if the film was...well, good. Now i think it will have a hard time getting anywhere close to the legs of the other films in the franchise.

Good weekend for WB,

First Anabelle did 2.27x and probably was the only bad film from Conj Uni. If Nun has similar reception (I haven't seen it) and after accounting from some front-loading does 2.15-2.25x, will get to 107.5-112.5 using 50 ow.

If CRA adds 3-4x it's 12.9 weekend to it's cume then gets to 174-187.

If MEG adds 2x+ it's 5.2 weekend then gets to 141+.

(using Deadline's weekend projections)

Great for The Nun considering R rated horror films apparently don’t make money.

IT "only" made over $320M domestic and $700M WW

The conjuring franchise as a whole is "only" a billion dollar one.

Man if only they were rated PG13, they'd actually make some money.

You really think this movie is going to drop 35% after it dropped 6% last weekend, and 10% this past weekend? Good luck with that. 🤣

Cocaine is a helluva drug.

And I will be here next weekend.
