You're in the theater to see the official worst movie of the year then.

At least everything associated with Solo will be forgotten quickly enough that he shouldn't have an issue getting future roles unlike some other high profile bombs like John Carter which actively hurt the actor's prospects

Great to see The Nun stabilise, think it kind of proves the second weekend drop had an element of fan rush as opposed to just WOM. Worldwide numbers for it are huge.

I’m also happy about A Simple Favour’s second weekend hold, nice one.

Happy for Eli Roth too.

It also lost IMAX & other PLFs to The Predator and that must've hurt the sophomore hold.

Good start for The House with a Clock In Its Walls. It definitely benefited from such a long stretch without new family options and should prove durable in the coming weeks despite some backlash about its scariness for little kids. If it matches the multiplier Goosebumps posted three years ago, it will close in the low-90s; with more time to play with between now and Halloween, it could go higher.

A Simple Favor had a really solid hold. It should ultimately go down as a solid mid-range hit for Lionsgate.

The Nun stabilized nicely after last weekend's huge drop; it actually ended up holding better than all the other sequels and spinoffs in the Conjuring universe in their third weekends. It should close with at least $120 million domestically at this rate, and its gaudy overseas numbers will make it a huge win against its modest $22 million budget.

The Predator got leveled, though that's no surprise with how weak the word-of-mouth has been. As a tiny consolation, it at least held up slightly better than Predators did in its second weekend in 2010. It should conclude its run just a couple million higher than the aforementioned failed reboot's domestic total, which is surely not what Fox had in mind when they greenlit this one.

Crazy Rich Asians continues to display strong staying power as it works its way toward a domestic total around $180 million.

White Boy Rick held up okay and should finish close to its production budget.

Peppermint, like The Nun, evened out well this weekend. A total in the high-30s wouldn't be too bad considering that it opened in the shadows of much more heavily-pushed R-rated films.

Fahrenheit 11/9 had a pretty weak start, but as discussed earlier in this thread, a Michael Moore political doc is a much harder sell than it used to be in an era in which his brand of political commentary is available faster and for free online. If he's smart with its digital distribution further down the road, it should still reach eyeballs despite a quiet theatrical run.

The Meg and Searching both continue to take advantage of solid word-of-mouth and limited competition.

Life Itself had a hideously bad opening. The reviews killed this one; a serious drama simply can't survive such a merciless critical evisceration. Assassination Nation's awful opening looks just a little better by comparison, considering that it doesn't have as many recognizable names and had a quiet campaign leading up to its release.

The Walk being there is so unfair. Such an amazing film. By the way what happened to the italian actress that was amazing in it? Thought she would be in more movies after that.
