I still don't understand how Feig fuck uped "Ghostbusters". All Fieg's movie decent/good at least. Spy was great. Except "Ghostbusters" which was a garbage.

Ghostbusters was pretty fun. Hemsworth was the best part IMO, but there wasn't anything blatantly bad about it

very lopsided Friday box office with A Simple Favor

anyone know why House/Clock outperformed Lego Ninjago & Storks by about 20%?

Clock had no other big film opening against it whereas Ninjago and Storks faced Kingsman 2 and Magnificent Seven

A SIMPLE FAVOUR very likely to finish above PREDATOR dom looking at the new numbers from Deadline.

10.5 weekend (-34%), 32.7 cume ... adding 2.5x this weekend to it's cume will give 59 dom

7.9 weekend (-68%), 39.6 cume ... adding 2x this weekend will give 55 dom

MEG at 2.0 for 140.2 cume. 145 finish is a great result and close to WAR OF APES last year.

Happy for Paul Feig and the cast that A Simple Favor is doing well.

It deserves to. Good movie. Gets crazy near the end but in a funny not dumb way. Blake Lively is impressive, she just chews up scenery, a dominant screen presence in this one, like Jessie Chastain in that underappreciated card game film from last year.

B+
