But they had better put the marketing into high gear on Fantasy Island. It's not on anybody radar, and at this point there should be a least a blimp. Problem Fantasy Island has it might fall between two chairs; those who have fond memories of the original show might be turned off by it going dark into horror, and horror fans just might not care about a cheesy TV show retread ieven if it's being redone as horror. JB33
Man, it really looks like I'm in the minority in terms of liking the look of this movie. Well @Blaze Heatnix and I haha. To your point Blaze, you're right on the money with the Ari Aster comment. It also has Sophia Lillis in it, who I think did a stellar job in It, so I'm willing to give her a chance here too.

Blaze Heatnix
So, what should we expect from this one? Marketing has been weak ( but better than The Turning's ) and there are no reviews ( someone said embargo lifts on Thursday...lol )

Blaze Heatnix
Looks like this is a very short movie with just 88 minutes already including ending credits.
Blaze Heatnix
Someone claimed to have watched a screening for this movie. The user said the flick is very odd, very uncomfortable, full of weird stuff and some stuff that comes from nowhere. The user also said this felt like a A24 movie. lilmac
I had no idea this was a thing until I saw the poster at the theater. Oh and OF COURSE the names would be reversed. 😦

I think the names were reversed so this movie wouldn't get confused with the one with Jeremy Renner, I guess...
dudalb
Yup, the Horror market is definently flooded. A new low budget horror movie is opening ..and bombing...each week.
Ithil
The director's two previous films (The Blackcoat's Daughter and I Am The Pretty Thing That Lives In The House) were both very slow and quiet, low on overt scares and generally more "arty". Not surprised by these A24 comments, nor by its inevitable low gross, those films were not remotely mainstream friendly. Blaze Heatnix
According to the director, both Gretel and Hansel eat mushrooms and experience a euphoric trip...lol https://www.thedailybeast.com/how-osgood-perkins-anthony-perkins-son-became-a-horror-movie-maestro?ref=scroll
DAJK
Lol at this being an art house type movie. Honestly I would have even enjoyed a Witch Hunters-type vibe more than that

ThePhasmid
This is not a comment on the quality of the film, but the name swap still hurts my brain. It's like someone having a slight case of dyslexia at the worst moment. Hard Die. Cash & Tango. Louise & Thelma...

The Blackcoats Daughter/ February suggests otherwise lol
