The Winter Game QOTW Survival Game Thread - Good times are just a click away

Not quite an SOTM, but also not quite a preseason. This is a little bit like the old Who wants to be a Millionaire SOTM of the past but it runs every week. 

 

It is one thread. One question per week and a simple Yes/No or Over/Under question. 

 

e.g. Aquaman makes $100M Over / Under?

 

Players post in this thread their prediction and the thread is locked over the weekend. 

 

Survivor Thread Tweaks:

 

1 question per week for every week of the game

 

Correct answer is 20000 points (Cumulates)

Incorrect answer cashes you out at half the points won over the player's current answer streak

Cash Out cashes you out at full points won

THERE ARE NO PASSES ANYMORE. FAILURE TO ANSWER FOR A WEEK IS AN AUTOMATIC CASHOUT WITH A 20% TAX REMOVED FROM PRIZE POOL (Rounded up to the nearest 1000 points).

 

After cashing out, players are automatically reentered into the next question, but the points per question is reduced as follows:

 

After first reentry - 15,000 points

After Second reentry - 10,000 points

After Third Reentry - 7,000 points

After Fourth Reentry - 5,000 points

After Fifth Reentry - 3,000 points is the lowest limit.

 

BONUSES:

If a player gets all the way to the end without being wrong or cashing out, they will get a 150,000 point bonus.

If a player gets all the way to the end without being wrong with 1 cash out, they will get a 100,000 point bonus.

If a player gets all the way to the end without being wrong with 2 cash outs, they will get a 75,000 point bonus.

If a player gets all the way to the end without being wrong with 3 cash outs, they will get a 50,000 point bonus.

If a player gets all the way to the end without being wrong with 4 or more cash outs, they will get a 25,000 point bonus.

Week 5: November 30th Weekend: - Will The Possession of Hannah Grace realise that it missed Halloween by a month Will Hood drop more than 53%?

 

Week 6: December 7th Weekend: - Will the Grinch have a larger percentage drop than Ralph?

 

Week 7: December 14th Weekend: - Will Spiderverse and Mortal Engines combine to make more than $100M?

 

Week 8: December 21st Weekend: - Will Aquaman and Bumblebee's end the weekend within $12M of each other?

 

 

Week 9: December 28th Weekend: - Will Mary Poppins Returns increase by more than 45%?

 

Week 10: January 4th Weekend: - Will Eli enter in the top 8?

 

Week 11: January 11th Weekend: - Will Aquaman have a smaller Sunday drop than Poppins?

 

Week 12: January 18th Weekend: - Will Glass open to more than Mortal Instruments' OW?

 

 

Week 13: January 25th Weekend: - Will Serenity have a higher PTA this weekend than Spiderverse?

 

Week 14: February 1st Weekend: - Will Escape Room make more than 30% of its Weekend total on Friday?

 

Week 15: February 8th Weekend: - Will Lego Movie 2 already become February's highest domestic grosser by the end of Friday?

 

 

Week 16: February 15th Weekend: - Will Alita have at least the 3rd highest OW of any film that was originally scheduled to release on December 19th or 21st? (Aquaman, Bumblebee, Mortal Engines, Mary Poppins, Holmes Watson, Deadpool PG, Welcome to Marwen)

 

Week 17: February 22nd Weekend: - Will Dragon 3 make it into the Winter Game top 15 (Include the Monday gross)?
