Two Legendary Weekends in Oct?  Wow.   I have nothing to say, being an 80's baby that grew up on Michael, Jason and Freddy....Seeing these numbers only put a smile on my face.  Nostalgia is real and if done correctly people will show up.    Michael is a Legend and proved it in huge fashion this weekend.   Honestly off a 10 Million budget, a 30 Million OW would of still been a nice success and even a huge OW for the franchise but 77?  Blockbuster numbers?  R-rated slasher too?  I mean these number go beyond just being successful. It shows the lasting impact Michael has had on Horror for 40 years.   A Star is Born has pretty much locked in it's Oscar prospects with these reviews and box office performance.   "First Man" is getting lost in the Halloween shuffle.   "Venom" is holding decently with the competition, 200 is looking pretty good.   Overall great weekend, I expect Halloween to hold pretty good with the holiday around the cornor but it is still an R-rated Slasher so I wonder how that will effect it's legs.  Overall very please with this weekend.

Hi @sfran43 I like that you give the estimated - actuals chart, but could you please add in the future the column title row too please?

Maybe clicking on actuals at first, so the actuals are the bold written numbers? For me that would make it more clear for the fast glance which numbers are the actual/really earned ones.

example:

Quote

space.gif

Est. / Act. Diff Movie Title (click to view) Studio Studio Est. / Actual Diff % Diff Theaters Est. Total Actual Wk
1 1 - Halloween (2018) Uni. $77,501,000 $76,221,545 $-1,279,455 -1.7% 3,928 $77,501,000 $76,221,545 1
2 2 - A Star is Born (2018) WB $19,300,000 $19,051,082 $-248,918 -1.3% 3,884 $126,376,246 $126,127,328 3
3 3 - Venom (2018) Sony $18,105,000 $18,043,887 $-61,113 -0.3% 3,887 $171,125,095 $171,063,982 3

The only detail missing in that chart is the difference in % to last weekend
