Maybe for OW, but for leggy run it is extremelly rare that the box office has nothing to do with quality.

Yes audience want to have a good time, a movie achieving to deliver that is strongly correlated with what most subjectively can see qualities.

If you cannot subjectively see qualities in a production like Titanic.....

I can definetly see why Titanic was such a success. And trying to be as objective as possible, the film without a doubt is a very impressive cinematic achievement.

I just personally dont like the film. Not everyone on this world likes Titanic ;)

I mean Greatest Showman also had an insanely leggy run and is far from a good movie, but I think catchy songs also function in a similar way which is probably what's going on here too.

Creating catchy song is an quite obvious quality too.

Only non-Cameron & non-franchise on the list. And it's basically a mid-budget musical drama. This is just insane.😶😶

It's the equivalent of BR doing $510m+ DOM.

It just had a 14th week of AUD1.1m - ranked 4th - which is like an $11m week DOM.

Unstoppable.

Movies overseas gross was adjusted down to $63.7 million. Worldwide it's at $274.4 million.

ww 2018 is missing #7 for the moment, I think they are actually working on their charts in this very moment (I think they lost the 2 in this $623,774,640 whilst working on it)

they 'found' their lost number 😉 (and its back to be number 7 in the 2018 ww chart)

Total Lifetime Grosses

Foreign:  $633,728,896    75.1%

Worldwide:  $844,408,328

$10.6m away from Venom and number 6 for 2018.

I honestly wouldn’t put it past Fox to release a non-gay cut of BR to China lol the film has done exceptionally well in countries with massive karaoke culture and China is one of them..

I mentioned this earlier, but I doubt it would do well in China. It barely grossed $1 million in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and these two markets are very accurate bellwethers for how a film is likely to be received in China.

Japan update, still easily in the top 10! Starting to see normal drops now)

>Bohemian Rhapsody is still playing very well, obviously. Its fourteenth weekend is the fifth biggest ever recorded. It is now the 22nd highest grossing film of all-time; and its admissions have reached 8.26 million, making it the 29th most attended film of all-time. And it's still got a good bit left in the tank.

06 (04) ¥144,144,900 ($1.3 million), -28%, ¥11,347,352,780 ($101.7 million), Bohemian Rhapsody (Fox) WK14
