Daenys
https://deadline.com/2018/11/the-grinch-bohemian-rhapsody-weekend-box-office-1202498901/ Quote 4th update, Saturday AM after Friday 11:25 PM and midday posts: With Sunday being Veterans Day, moviegoing will spill over to Monday when many schools will have the holiday off, so whatever we’re seeing for Illumination/Universal’s The Grinch now will be so, so much higher by then, and other titles as well. ComScore reports that close to half of all K-12 schools will be off Monday with another 28% U.S. colleges on recess. Right now the Benedict Cumberbatch-voiced Dr. Seuss yuletide toon is looking to haul $18.8M for Friday (including $2.2M previews), $67.2M for the weekend per industry estimates which is an improvement upon the 2000 version’s $55M debut. Quote Fox/New Regency/GK Films’ Bohemian Rhapsody is currently eyeing a second Friday of $8.5M, -55% because last Friday’s take included previews, for a second weekend of $28.7M, a great -44% hold with a revised 10-day total of $97.8M. Once it crosses $100M, which is quite possible this weekend, Bohemian Rhapsody will rep the sixth Graham King production to do so stateside. Paramount’s Overlord, which cost $38M before P&A, is currently edging out the other wide release R-rated offering, Sony/MGM/New Regency’s The Girl in the Spider Web, $10.1M to $8.8M in their 3rd and 5th ranked weekend openings. Respectively both will earn an estimated $3.9M and $3.1M on Friday which includes Thursday previews. Neither film is doing well enough in regards to their openings, a $15M-$20M start would have been great.

Zakiyyah6
Never bet against Illumination. I think Bohemian Rhapsody could still hit 30mil. Both Overlord and Spider's Web opened poorly. Doubtful they will be having 4.0-4.5 multipliers. The Zombie genre is played out and Spider's Web offered nothing new.
filmlover
Posted a better PTA from 77 theaters in its second weekend than The Front Runner did in its first from 4 lol. That said, this probably isn't making $10M total.

GraceRandolph
Omg the nut cracker is such a BOMB. But I’m guessing Disney is happy to have more “new” content for their streaming service.

World War Z 2 will have a massive fall from the original if the studio is stupid enough to make it. 4 minutes ago, GraceRandolph said: Claire Foy’s career is over. She will never recover after this. It's not over but her break out year is a flop. When you have all of that new IT PERSON hype surrounding you and none of your projects succeed then that is a problem. Cmasterclay
Venom's China numbers is insane. That's a good opening for Grinch. It's lower than Lorax but there's already an uber popular Grinch movie for older kids/younger adults, plus Lorax came out when 3D was still hot.
