Middle East Box Office Thread - F9 Takes Record Start in KSA.

Bad Boys For Life has done extraordinary in Saudi Arabia grossing around $7.5mn, is also now 2nd highest grosser behind Joker $9.85mn. UAE gross is around $5.25mn.

Jumanji is 3rd at $7.5mn Approx as well (UAE $7.75mn).

 

Parasite had grossed $403k till 19th Feb. I am estimating around $625k till today. UAE again is behind at $550k.

The last weekend before closing had 86,186 admits, usually a weekend can go as high as 200k admits in normal weekend, so currently at 3% of the normal potential.

May 27-30: 4,571 admits (4 Days) - Just Dubai

June 04-06: 4,563 admits - Dubai and Ajman

June 11-13: 4,273 admits

June 18-20: 6,240 admits

June 25-27: 11,280 admits - Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah

 

First 4 were just Dubai and Ajman, now 4 Emirates are open. 30% market still closed.

Middle East will emerge as a big market by mid of 2020. UAE is as big as $300mn per year, will probably reach $400mn. Saudi Arabia could be as big as $1.25-1.5 Billion, which will make it bigger than likes of Germany, Italy, etc.

 

Overall Middle East would be about $2-2.25 Billion.
