I'm gonna keep my expectations low honestly. Lord and Miller serving as just producers doesn't really give me much confidence that it will be anywhere as good or as memorable as the first film. I expect the fall in quality to be larger than The Lego Movie and The Lego Movie 2 (which I still really loved).

Even with that fall it'll still be more interesting than almost all of the upcoming funnybook projects in the pipeline

Weren't they only producers in the first one anyway?

Definitely has room to grow but I wouldn't expect outrageous numbers yet. Hopefully around the $500M range is good.

Glad this finally got a date.

Wish it was sooner, but we all know animation can be slow. Especially the good stuff like this.

I would rather have them take their time and make a really good movie, then rush something out and have it be mediocre or worse.

I can name a number of CBM which have suffered because they obviously were rushed into production .
