el sid
So Creed II opened a bit better in the UK than the first movie which made 3.3M US$ OW and it almost doubled its result in Australia where Creed opened to 1.2M, very nice . The first numbers from Poland and especially Romania (of course F. Munteanu helped) could also point to a better reception in Eastern Europe and maybe Russia. So so far it looks quite good that it passes its predecessor. I hope the comeback of Drago will also help in Germany and France. Does anybody know which the other countries are? The imdb list isn't always reliable...

John Rambo
Creed 2 had good number of shows at my place compared to Creed. But as usual no publicity......nothing and has done well compared to first part.

All Rocky movies are broadcasted here from time to time and the fourth is by far the best from TV-ratings. Often doubles the average ratings of the TV-stations that show it (not the biggest but one of the eight main stations). Creed II also gets much talking here but that's the problem, the last one did too and only archieved 341k moviegoers. Maybe the first Creed had just too few connections for the older Rocky fans to see it in theaters and I hope this time it works better. And probably Michael B. Jordan is also more well known here after Black Panther. Saw at boxofficemojo that Creed II had a nice hold in Romania with now 434k US$ (vs 170k first one). Hopefully this continues in other countries.
el sid
Creed II already reached the 100M mark. The new bom foreign total of 15.0M is from Wednesday the 5th. Nice start also in the United Arab Emirates where it collected within four days (and previews) 1.2M (which is not even 100k under the total of the first movie). Total Lifetime Grosses Domestic: $85,041,763 85.0% + Foreign: $15,000,000 15.0% = Worldwide: $100,041,763

el sid
And according to boxofficemojo it already passed the total result of Creed in the UK with now 8.9M US$ (to 8.25M US$). Edit: Sadly the bom number seems to be wrong. Screendaily says it's at 6M pound which means 7.6M US$. The first number looked indeed a bit high. Creed II is still in front compared to its predecessor which had 6.1M US$ after its second weekend. Marathon
Worldwide over $140m now: Total Lifetime Grosses Domestic: $112,167,276 79.9% + Foreign: $28,300,000 20.1% = Worldwide: $140,467,276 There's still these markets to come: Mexico 1 January 2019 Hungary 3 January 2019 China 4 January 2019 Estonia 4 January 2019 France 9 January 2019 Netherlands 10 January 2019 Russia 10 January 2019 Japan 11 January 2019 Turkey 11 January 2019 Argentina 17 January 2019 Brazil 24 January 2019 Colombia 24 January 2019 Germany 24 January 2019 Italy 24 January 2019 Spain 25 January 2019 Hong Kong 31 January 2019 Lithuania 22 February 2019 Hopefully they'll provide a significant boost. The first one's worldwide total $173.5m is already looking very tough for II. 1

The first one's worldwide total $173.5m is already looking very tough for II. If we factor in similar grosses for Creed compared to first part let see how much it can gross from now if it stays flat... Mexico -2.5m Hungary - 100k China - No Idea Estonia - N/A France - 12m Netherlands - 1m Japan - 1m Russia - 1m Turkey - 200k Argentina - 1m Colombia -200k Brazil - 2.5m Germany - 3.5m Italy - 6m Spain - 4m Hong Kong - 200k Lithuania - 20k The OS gross will be the same compared to first part if it grosses as mentioned above with few figures rounded off. Creed 2 has opened bigger and better then first part so we can expected good increases in rest of the markets which are due from Jan 1 2019.

It has barely opened in any markets, and the markets in which it still has to open are the ones where the first performed best. The movie is also performing significantly better in all of its markets in comparison to the first thus far. el sid
At the moment it's at 152.1M US$ WW. According to cine-directors.net it will also in France perform better that the first one (Creed made nearly 4M on the five-day OW and 11.5M total). Cine-directors.net predicts - judging from its admissions in the premières séances yesterday - that it will open to #1 with 700k admissions in its first week this time (if I read it right the first one had 644k admissions). Creed II should cross 200M WW with ease .
el sid
Now the projection of cine-directors.net (France) is 750k admissions in its first week, so even a bit better than what was predicted after the first séances. If I got it right Creed II had yesterday, its first full day, 163.607 visitors which is 68% above the first one which had 97.271 admissions OD. Probably the prediction for the first week is a bit conservative because of possible frontloadedness.

el sid
So in France it managed to get ca. 1.5x the result of Creed (3.95M OW). That should be good for more than the predicted 750k admissions in one week; the first one had 644k admissions in seven days. Edit: It will be around 800k admissions including tomorrow (update of cine-directors.net today). In Germany (release is January the 24th), the best guru, Mark_G of insidekino, also predicts an increase compared to the first one and that it seems like Glass (as sad as the reviews are) will not own the whole month should also help. But it's still Germany with lots of disappointments, so I will wait till I see the reservations and so on. el sid
Will very probably stay #1 in France and should have 500k further admissions in week two (Glass will be #2 with 430k admissions, Les Invisibles #3 with 310k admissions; source: cine-directors.net). Creed II had 832.553 fans in its first seven days (up 29% from the first movie; source: jp-boxoffice.com).
scabab
The movie is at $175.3 million worldwide now so it's surpassed the previous movie.
