Yep, and Screenplay should be pretty easy since Original is a lot emptier than Adapted this year. Right now, I can see Screenplay, Cinematography, Production Design, and Costume Design (how's the score for this?). Searchlight will probably push Nightmare Alley more, but with enough momentum this can be a fringe contender.

Hearing a lot of visually creative but emotionally cold takes here. Feel like this could be too quirky for the Academy, but yeah it should get a bunch of big noms.

More Budapest than Tenenbaums is good news, people's reaction are basically "it's a Wes Anderson movie idk", so I guess it's more middle of the pack, which still means it's probably a great movie.

For what it's worth, the actual reviews are pretty glowing compared to the Twitter reactions. However, Searchlight has Nightmare Alley this year which is more linear and comes out later and will probably be a bigger hit. So that's the thing!

The movie's reception is in general a lot more mixed amongst foreign critics.
