MODERATION:   Hey all, your queer Admin here.   And to think, I was having such a nice evening.   I just want to say clearly those thoughts comments -- whether they're made by Simu Liu or not -- are asinine and quite frankly dangerous towards LGBTQ people.  It plays on the old stereotype that gay people are "corrupt" and "sick" and "coming from your children."  I would greatly appreciate if in your future posts you refrain from discussing specifically what was said

These people have lost their minds but it is what it is.

He actually said it's going to theaters but they are following the situation closely and they can use all the possible options to release them.

That is more using Shang Chi as a test than changing the release method at last hour.

Yeah, from what he said i think Disney are more inclined to use PA and release their movies anyway if SC did bad theatrical only and the new wave didn't get better by Oct-Nov

  • Chapek says Shang Chi is exclusive. Free Guy is exclusive.
  • He values flexibility.
  • Nothing else is in stone.
  • They can’t add PA on Free Guy due to old Fox deals.
  • Shang Chi is an experiment and will go straight to D+ in 45 days from streaming.
  • It is not possible to add PA to Shang Chi at this point.
  • They assumed they would be releasing to a healthier market when they announced the release date.

Well let's hope this "theatrical exclusive experiment" does well because we don't need movies on PA day and date again.
