With China heading for $330mn+

USA heading for $300-325mn

Even adding $382mn of A:IW will give $1012-1037mn. That's how easy it is.

And believe me, A:EG will do much much better than $382mn.

Can I raise the bar to over Captain Marvel worldwide Gross. Because that will be easy but still a bit bolder.

Too much Charlie! CM will now finish over CW :Venom:

2x F8’s WW OW is thematically satisfying even if it won’t be that hard :hahaha:

Not really. CM will do $430mn in US and $705mn OS.

My A:EG prediction is 1.137 Billion, which itself is bit low.

Dom: 317

China: 335

UK: 50

South Korea: 45

Mexico: 32

India: 27

Australia: 27

Brazil: 25

Germany: 20

Indonesia: 20

France: 19

Philippines: 16

These countries add upto $933mn (281 excluding US and China) while IW did 217mn in these, leaving another 165 + Russia 19.

Now those 165 will atleast do 225 (mostly European countries having big jumps) and Russia is doing 30 in 7 days frame.

Give together 1188mn.

It'd be very cool but it's not gonna happen.  Less than 2% chance I think, 90% chance it opens under 900m for all territories combined.

Out.

.............

So obviously I was completely wrong.

Right now my guess is

310-340 China

280-305 Dom

415 to potentially something ridiculously high everywhere else

= 1005 or more

2% chance it doesn't hit a billion at this point.

Good call Charlie, all the way back in December.

Out. IW was already around biggest in most countries. Increasing $140m, just 1 year from it's release is near impossible. Around $900m is what I am thinking.

Yeah China numbers are looking great, but OS-China will be very interesting to see.

IW already broke many records in Asian and South America countries, but with Endgame looking to further break records in those same countries while expanding beyond normal SH fare in Europe (for OW at the very least), I would not be surprised with OS-China opening over 500M at this point

I would think 1 billion is toast at this point with how big China is looking, no?

My over Rogue one bonus is looking pretty toasty tbh.

Lowest I can see from here is like 310+280+450 is 1040.

Posted (edited)

It has been one day and we went from being cautious about 1b predictions to laughing at them.

Thank you China. Very Cool!
