Instant Family almost flat from last Monday's 488k

ASIB increasing from last Monday

Those type of legs we can see when absolutely nothing open for a long time really do show the importance of competition.

Grinch back on top and likely to stay above Ralph now through Christmas Eve, I think...

PS - And it's $20K higher than last Monday...

When's the last day we had no film over $1M?

8th February - Jumanji with $728381 (Thursday, same goes for 5&7th February)

Those things normally happen the week before President's day, the weekend before the start of Summer (so before first May weekend / now with Avengers moving up a week, it's a little more unlikely and will occur if at all, the last week before the last April weekend)

Then it might happen in early September, the week after Labour Day.

And finally it can happen in the latest October week (before first November weekend)

And in the first two December weeks, before the Holiday movies starts (with Holiday movies, I mean movies that will start Around Christmas)

Seem filled with error, for example it says:

From 2014-2017, eleven films crossed the billion dollar mark. All passed the Bechdel test. They are listed below.
Of those, eight are action movies, two are animated movies, and one is a live-action family film.

(In descending order of revenue)

- Star Wars: The Force Awakens
- Jurassic World
- Star Wars: The Last Jedi
- Avengers: Age of Ultron
- Furious 7
- Beauty and the Beast
- The Fate of the Furious
- Captain America: Civil War
- Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
- Zootopia
- Finding Dory

See to be 14 to me with

Transformers 4 (2014, with 1.104 Billion)

Minions (2015, with 1.16b)

Despicable me 3 (2017 with 1.035b)

Missing

And I do not think it is mislead / being fishy here because

https://bechdeltest.com/view/5598/transformers:_age_of_extinction/

Transformer 4 do pass the test all despicable me/Minions do pass the test.

Just seem an error by a script that generated list/database issue or manual error but it does seem of quite the basic level making a list of all the movie having made over 1 billion from 2014-2017, what else they got wrong ?

Would have been nice to easily put available the data they used, in a .cvs format or a pdf at least ( I do not find them in the footnote), they say to refer to http://www.studiosystem.com/ but that require an account....

That level of total opacity that is completely "unscientific" + what seem glaring error + study made by a group that have a mission of pushing an diversity agenda make the result suspicious.

Even if it would not surprise me if it was somewhat well done and somewhat true.

Thanks! Hm, so it wasn't that long ago. I kind of thought it hadn't been that long. Just wasn't looking at the right dates. I was looking at August and December 2017 and stuff.

You might want to read the discussion under the Transormers listing.

Not so sure what you mean exactly by that, yes the bechdeltest is a bit ridiculous, Gravity does not pass the test, Transformer 4 do under some criteria, but the point remain that I do not think it was by false play (despicable me 3 pass the test quite cleanly and is also missing).

It could be too, maybe they knew putting Transformer 4 on that list could make it look ridiculous, but living only one out would be too suspicious....
