He doesn't really do animated stuff though.

I thought Johnny Test 2 was going to be live-action?

I mean I personally think he's a shit director (though I've heard good stuff regarding Outlander) so I wouldn't care regardless.

Edit: My bad, it wasn't Outlander, it was The Shannara Chronicles. Got the two confused.

I'm also considering making it R rated and animated. Though Liebsman seems good

Liebesman still has a pretty successful box office history though. If anything I'd suggest a certified flop-maker Hollywood doesn't take seriously anymore.

Maybe Rob Cohen (who went from The Fast and the Furious and xXx to shit like Stealth, Alex Cross, and The Hurricane Heist and hasn't done a big-budget blockbuster since 2008) or Renny Harlin (from Die Hard 2 and Cliffhanger to The Covenant and The Legend of Hercules; he's relegated to making movies in China now).

The performance of Spider-Man and Lego 2 have me a bit concerned about the animation style of Medusa and The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl effecting box office. Then again in CAYOM, we’ve had a $250M grossing PG-13 animated film, and hand drawn animation is strong with both Scrooge McDuck films being #1 and #3 at the box office for animated films both DOM and WW. Pigeon used Paperman like animation and it was a monster.

Good news: TSW2/Voltron 3/DragonBorns/Scrooge 0.5 are all progressing well. Not much else to say regarding those.

Bad news: SkyRiders is going to be pushed back. It isn't so much "I can't finish it on time" (although I'd rather focus on the four above), but rather "I'm not satisfied with what I've got". I feel like I need to restructure the plot a bit and I want to go back and do more research on how I should portray the main character, considering gender identity can be a tricky subject.

I've promised @YourMother the Edgelord a pre-read and I'm sticking by that, plus I know @Slambros was looking forward to it and if he wants to join in, he's welcome.

This has made me think about DragonBorns though, considering I started it as an animated film. I've thought of maybe going back to that, but it's position would then depend on if @Spagspiria gets Two Lonely Bounty Hunters made or not. I'm thinking of finishing it and then I'll see.

News both good and bad:

Good: I got an exciting action adventure pirate film I can work with Zoe Kravitz as a struggling cop and Oscar Isaac as a bombastic pirate as the leads as the two are forced to evade other Pirates, the law and survive as they search for Blackbeard’s Treasure in... The Bermuda Triangle. Tom Holland also joins our duo as a aspiring scientist.

Bad: There’s a 50/50 chance that either Blue and Gold II or Phoenix is pushed into Y6 depending on how busy my college life is. In the case either is cancelled @cookie and @Spagspiria will still get their prereads down the line.

I'll throw my hat in the ring for a pre-read, sure!

It's too bad about the delay, but I'm sure it'll make for a better story.

I think given how much ground the film covers I'll have to cut or severely reduce the origin, so those 15 minutes will sadly have to be tossed. Hopefully it works out for the better in the end.

So how's everyone else doing writing-wise? Honestly I'm doing pretty shit, between some writer's block, being sick most of January, and getting ready for a convention at the end of the month.

I've been doing alright. I feel like I got my biggest projects covered (those being Yin and Sabrina), so if anything else of mine falls by the wayside, I won't feel bummed about it. Right now, I'm trying to write my VeggieTales film. Well, after homework and studying. School is the biggest thing obstructing me from my writing by far.

But I'm really glad that you're feeling better after being sick! I usually get sick sometime during the wintertime too so I feel your pain!

I’m making good progress on Bambi. Might have it done and up early if all goes well.

I got most of my major films done, though am fine with a potential extension.

Well if everyone else in more or less on track we shouldn't delay things just for me, that's hardly fair.

I'm okay with something like a two-week delay if needed but I think anything more than that is pushing it.

Same here. Only if needed.
