Yikes. -100% drop on Saturday it seems and 0$ on Sunday.

Holidays are over it seems.

Yeah, theaters pulled it - they needed the screens for a re-expansion of Mortal Engines.

Looks like it will end up going past BvS by the time it is done domestically. A 330-340M final looks very likely and it will benefit from being the last of the holiday movies to be cut when February rolls around. Glass taking IMAX screens might hurt but MLK extended weekend will cushion the blow a lot.

Based on the WW numbers which should come out in an hour or so, we will know if it can hit 1B before next Monday.

On the Basis of Sex’s PTA dropped less than 30% from last weekend despite jumping from 33 theaters to 112. Movie is definitely a major crowd pleaser so I won’t be surprised if it ends up crossing over into the mainstream on track to become one of Focus’ highest grossing movies (it only needs to make $56M+ to enter the top 5). It would probably be pulling Hidden Figures numbers if it were an actual awards contender.

Great expansion for Beale Street and amazing hold for Green Book. With awards season about to be in full swing I think it could finish with over $50M+.

Mule is locked for $100m.

Clint Eastwood. His power [with mostly conservative old white dudes]

Anyways, pretty excited to see it this weekend, if Ehlrich raved about it it's gotta have some at least some merit.

Adding 2.0-2.5x this weekend to the current total will take AQM to 320-340 dom.

Lots of CBMs in that range - DP2, SS, BVS, GOTG1, SMH, SM3

(SM3 adjusts much higher than therest which released in the last 5 years)

I need it above DP2, to make the top 5 for 2018. But if it can eclipse BVS and SS, even better!

The Aquaman running total is now just 2M behind Suicide Squad’s running total but with a 10M higher weekend, 262M vs 260M. Both are 10 days away from a 4 day weekend as well and SS had also lost summer weekdays at this point. Just matching SS from a 10M higher weekend will get Aquaman to 323M, if it performs with the same drops and increases as SS it can get close to 350M

What’s next holiday season’s big aquatic movie? Last year we had a fish man win the Oscars and this year we had a fish man win the box office. Maybe next year’s fish man will win both.

Episode IX is set primarily on Mon Cala - opens with a flashback to TLJ, where we learn Ackbar knew it was a trap, so he put a puppet in the chair. He knew no one would notice, being in the background...
