I think Real is simply saying... based on the fact that the first movie did $850million WW?  

 

Despite awful reviews and an audience reception that seemed very mixed afterwards

(Everyone I say "I haven't seen Venom" to...they say "Don't.")

I thought Netflix has greenlit Andy's Animal Farm. Why isn't he going full steam ahead on that, why on earth would he be interested in the sequel to VENOM.

1 billion is absolutely possible. Thankfully much of the disastrous cast from the first one died.

 

Replace horrible cast with good people (obviously keep hardy and venom but dear god get rid of Michelle Williams) and a new director why not?

She's a tremendous actress. Period. The quality of her acting in Venom is irrelevant.

Yeah, most of the cast was directed pretty poorly in that film. Riz Ahmed is great and he sucked in Venom

Williams was horrible in the movie, like Razzies level horrible, on the level of the worst Megan Fox perfomances, which is absolutely unacceptable for an actress with her reputation, she could give at least competent perfomance for a solid paycheck. It pretty much doesn't matter if Williams returns, they could just replace her with another actress, and if that new actress cares more, she'll probably give a better perfomance, those Oscar noms mean nothing in this case, it wouldn't be hard to find a good replacement here.

Probably not. It's 100% dropping by at least 50 mil in China but should make around 700 mil.
