Feels like critics are correcting after they were overly harsh on the first (I did not like it that much but I don't think it deserved the absolutely awful reviews either). Though with average rating of 5.9, it will be tough to stay fresh.

Yeah Venom isn't great but it's much more enjoyable than something that's structurally fine with a passable plot, something Like Thor 2

To each their own. I preferred Thor 2. Frigga's funeral stuck with me a lot more than anything in Venom. But I don't think Venom was an awful movie either.

I have a hateful spot in my heart for Thor 2 that will never disappear. It's been so long since I watched it though
