Mission: Impossible 7 | November 19, 2021 | Production delayed

Recommended Posts

Sources tell Variety that McQuarrie has signed back on to return to write and direct the next two films in the popular franchise. Sources also add that both films would be shot back-to-back — not unlike the final two “Avengers” sequels — in order to take advantage of the popularity of the series, with the first bowing summer 2021 and the second coming out in summer 2022. The release comes in 2021 to avoid conflict with Paramount and Cruise’s next big venture, “Top Gun: Maverick.”

Since they're being shot back to back are they intended to be the final ones or...?

As long as Cruise is still breathing, they'll never end.

Paramount needs these movies and as long as Tom Cruise is in shape to do stunts, their quality shouldn't be a worry. More M:I movies = more better.

In 2006, Paramount wanted to permanently sever all ties with Tom Cruise.

In 2018, his brand is the one thing keeping the studio fiscally responsible.

Tom Cruise. His Power.

RN and Fallout are great. I'm happy with the decision to bring back Mcquarrie, but i 'm surprised they scheduled them so soon.  They'll film them next year. Top Gun 2, now MI 7,8  all action. Isn't it time to diversify?

Mission 7 is gonna go fucking crazy with stunts like you’ve never seen and then mission 8 is gonna be a quiet character drama about a broken man who has destroyed his body like The Wrestler.

They need to film them before his bones shatter at the slightest thump. Man will be over 60 by the time the 8th one comes out

The movie he used to do just don't exist anymore or/and don't interest audiences.

But yeah, Tom cruise becoming the american Jackie Chan in his 50's, who would have thought ?
