I think lots of "tolerant" directors  that make the drama movies now find the idea of working with the Scientology poster boy a repelent idea.

nah. i seriously doubt that's the reason. Elisabeth moss is working with some kick ass directors.

Well, Tom Cruise s ego is also another factor.

He rarely accepted in his career to not be the main star of his movies.

Tom Cruise movie posters were once famous for having his name as big as the title of the movie.

Fallout was the emptiest Mission Impossible movie since the second as far as narrative is concerned.

 

It was really spy mumbo jumbo bullshit leading to the next Tom Cruise X-games.

And while you may say this is true for all the MI movies, Fallout was definitely the biggest culprit of this with MI 2.

 

People, including me, do love meaningless circus acts tho.
