Agreed. I was predicting The Favourite in both categories but figured that Black Panther wins wouldn't be shocking. I have it on a No Guts No Glory pick for Original Score later, but we'll see.

yeah, that's my path to Picture win. win all techs + SAG support amounts to Picture upset. If Netflix backlash is real and massive which likely isn't but we can dream until winner is announced.

I guess Alfonso Cuaron is a good win. He is who I thought would win. But I wanted someone else to win because none of the other cinematographers nominated had an Oscar win yet. But I'm sure their time can come.

Yeah it’s moving at a clip it’s pretty good. No dumb audience bits either. I wouldn’t hate if they kept it like this going forward but a potential ratings drop means they’ll for sure try to hire Kevin Hart six more times next year or whatever.
