Must be, that tweet says “North American premiere” so Venice is a safe bet for the actual premiere.

Really, really enjoyed this. Practically flawless for me, but it does veer to the silly territory in the last act, and is definitely not for everyone. If you can't suspend your disbelief there, the movie will fall apart. 8/10.

 

Could be a sleeper-hit if marketed right.

Good point. Both this is Dune mixes in alot of heavy praise with a few straight up pans (apparently this movie is....problematic)

A lot of heavy praise yeah, 83 so far on MetaCritic. I saw Variety's review is negative. Which ones are pointing out problematic elements? (I feel like I can guess what could be seen as problematic).

Down to 75. The lower the score goes, the more hyped will be. Movie looked way too polished in the trailers. Something divisive and messy is what this movie needs to be.

Yes this please fuckin moratorium on "mixed" until it's actually mixed (50%).

Reviews aren't mixed, they're pretty good overall.

 

Reading the negative ones kinda reminded me of what i read about Malignant. It's the same complains about third act becoming too chaotic and weird.

 

Strange but the few negative reviews make me more excited to see it.
