Unplanned | March 29th, 2019 | Pure Flix | a film about Abby Johnson and her experiences in Planned Parenthood | trailer on pg. 2

Recommended Posts

One time, at my church, a nice woman came onstage to talk about her pregnancy center--it was definitely a pro life center. It was the first time I've heard about a center of the sort, really; they acknowledged the right to choose that women have in America, but according to the woman's testimonial, they do share their opinions with the patients that come in. I think I respect their bipartisan view on abortion; they would love them to consider reconsidering, but they do acknowledge their right to choose.

I'm not sure if there's an abortion clinic in my city. There probably is, but I've never come across it. In fact, I just looked it up: there is a planned parenthood place in our city. I just don't know where it is. It's pretty far out of the way.

I love how Juno tackles the subject early on in the film. Juno is a great film, I think. I'd love it if Unplanned was half as good as Juno, but that's extremely unlikely, and I accept that.

Why does pureflix exist?

Same reasons Lifeway stores exist.

I mean, people should be able to buy a Bible, absolutely--I believe it's the Word of God, people should have access to it to know what it says, all this, all that--but that's why bookstores exist.

I've been to Lifeway multiple Christmas-times to try and find gifts for family and friends, but I'm never able to find anything. The commercialism of the faith is too heavy handed in my opinion.

Idk why they don’t just make a documentary... It’s less expensive and probably will make the same as a movie... Heck you won’t have to deal with terrible acting.

Have you seen how well some of these films do? Lots of them over 50M and made for peanuts. There's a demand for movies like this. Wouldn't happen on any other country in the developed world but god knows America loves their religion.

Early tracking shows interest in this film is higher than Dumbo, so I heard.

I actually hate this movie already. And yea, it's my own bias because vilifying pro-choice organizations seems disgusting. Maybe if the trailer actually had nuance or layers to the struggle between pro-life and pro-choice it could make for an interesting story. But nope, it's a completely one-sided movie with pretty much no regard for science. Don't see how this is any different that Death of a Nation or stuff like that. But that's just me.

Same  here. I am so not seeing this. Feel the same about every piece of Propaganda from the American Taliaban.

The evengelcals lost what little respect I had left for them when they became such blind worshippers of Trump.
