I got a bad feeling about this limited release plan. The backseat PR guy in me is screaming that if literally any COVID case can be connected to a Tenet screening that is the only thing people will see in the press for a week.

And it goes up to 30 on the Friday.

If they average 10 people per showing, that counts as a couple sold out showings, hahaha

My local Light cinema made a big song and dance about tickets going on sale today and so far across the five screenings they have on the 26th after 7pm they’ve sold...7 tickets...

 

The IMAX at Cineworld is faring slightly better with 22 tickets sold so far for the evening show (with the majority of the sold seats hilariously/dangerously clumped together in the middle...). Regular 2D screenings are all ghost towns though. No doubt it’ll pick up as it’s still early, but I wouldn’t expect some massive return to cinemas anytime soon, and definitely not enough to make this the hit that it should’ve been.
