idk, calling TDKR or Interstellar failures for Nolan would be like calling Inherent Vice a failure for PTA; it's not as good as their other work, but that's only because their highs are so high.

high RT, great audience reception, good legs. Awful record for Nolan!!!

No director works for everyone. if you dont like his style good  for you. I found several well reviewed Marvel movies MEH(including the 2 Spidey movies recently). But I will not call them failures. Nolan is batting 1.0 from overall. Just go to twitter or any social media/forum to see the excitement from showing almost nothing. he is the biggest director in hollywood who can inspire such confidence without making franchise movies.

Dunkirk was good but I couldn't understand the British accents a third of time and it didn't really have characters to me. Also all the young white British guys with brown hair were sometimes hard to differentiate  so that's actually my least fave Nolan movie lmao (I know ...petty reasons). This seems more up my alley. Seems Inception-esque which is my favorite Nolan film.

Time for a new protagonist

*Cue to Washington*

thats a bit corny/racist ?

lol that's what I was saying. If Nolan wasn't known for his super white films I wouldn't think so but he is so it's super corny to me lmao. In context it make a bit more sense though since it's followed by "Time had come for a new kind of mission" also time might be a double entendre since it might be about time travel.

I am betting this explodes in china if it gets July release date. Inception was huge there(2nd biggest movie at that point). A sci fi action thriller by Nolan gonna explode big time.

Even Dunkirk made 50 mil in China which is a really good number for a war film that has nothing to do with China.
