It's odd that WB hasn't dated already dated Aquaman 2 although they do have a WB film for December 2021 so perhaps they want to negotiate with Wan first then date it before making it official

Dec 2021 is Avatar3 but that doesn't mean you keep away. Jumanji and SW were together in 2017 and will again coexist in 2019.

 

Back in 2009 Avatar didn't prevent Alvin and Sherlock from doing a combined 429 dom. We don't even know how Avatar2 will be received and the viability of Avatar3 to keep the entire month to itself no questions asked.

 

Dec 2022 would be a 4 year gap for AQM2.  I think it should come in 2021 - December or otherwise.

they already schedule batman in june 2021 and suicide squad 2 in august 2021....

AQUAMAN 2 must be december 2022....and WW3 summer 2022 or 2023

Yes this could coexist with Avatar 3, but that will depend on the reception to Avatar 2, and how water heavy they go with the story.

 

Because people aren't going to see two water heavy stories released in the same month.

 

DC currently doesn't have any slots even scheduled out after Suicide Squad. And if this was late 2021, that would be 3 DC films in the last half of that year. Maybe swoop into that May 2022 slot that Marvel has. Or April 2022 if Shazam does well.

WB will want Imax for Aquaman. They can’t get it releasing with Avatar since Avatar will lock them  up

Seems like if a December release works once, the studio sticks with it.
