General Audirences are clearly burned out on CBMs/

Yes, a CM can still be ehit, but t he guaranteed GA box office almost every CBM had is gone. Non Geek Audiences  have become bvery slective about which CBMs they will pay to see.

Yeah no shit lol

Also I think a few keys on your keyboard went missing or got rearranged.

Me waiting for this review embargo to lift

My current arbitrary guess is. . .uhh. . .33%?

Quantumania currently has the lowest RT score of the year for CBMs with a 46%. Based on everything surrounding this film and the super late embargo, I’m guessing a range of 25-45%, with a prediction of 28%.

(Feels kinda toxic waiting for negative reviews, but they’re dumping the film and starting over so I guess it’s fine…)

Jesus Christ...

Makes me a little sad seeing this honestly. There were a lot of films this year where people couldn’t publicly talk about or celebrate their work due to the strikes (regardless of quality/reception). Now they can but WB doesn’t even feel like it’s worth the effort for this film.

The celebratory vibe around this movie bomb is so weird

I mean obviously it’s about to be a disaster which is worth of discussion and surely is funny how things ended up this year for Marvel and specially DC, so i get why it’s being discussed and certainly i engage with this things

But bursting into joy (and yeah it’s the vibe in some posts) over the apparently inevitable failure of such inoffensive movie like Aquaman feels kinda disrespectful with the talents involved more than with the genre or the brands involved

Personally i’m very sad for James Wan.

He’s one of the first Asian talents i knew in cinema growing up, a very cool guy that shaped a lot of my love for horror and i think he did a tremendous work in doing blockbusters for Hollywood while keeping his personality in them, which is hard

I really think after the years of trouble this movie production causes to him over the years due to WB and DC chaos and changing in leaderships, the last think he deserved was to see his movie not even getting a proper premiere like every shitty Hollywood movie gets.

I know it’s about to get panned and flop but still, he deserved better and the crew as well.

Everyone has been talking about Marvels floppage for weeks now, so this is just Aquaman's turn now. Nothing brings out everyone more than flops.

I'm going to still see Aquaman, even if I'm the only one in sitting in my showing.

Wait, why does James Wan deserve the respect Nia DaCosta wasn't getting? He's got his thriving horror career to fall back on.

So James Wan should deal with mockering because Nia did?

One thing wrong doesn’t make the other thing right, this is such a bizarre and bad faith comparison.

Nome of them should be disrespected over movies that clearly have production problems beyond them.

Yes i know it’s kinda inevitable and it’s justified in both cases to be fair. I just think some people talk weirdly about it to a point it’s not even funny anymore.

I’m going to see it as well, not really expecting much but let’s see, at least visually it looks cooler than pretty much every CBM this year so it should be nice in a big screen.
