The Jungle Book (1967) is the absolute favourite movie of my father

 

Fun Fact: That movie is still far and away the most succesfull and most attendet movie in Germany thanks to long and very successfull re-runs.

I've seen it then repeatedly too.

Louis Armstrong's voice,... I would have loved to hear it with him, he was considered then, but they were too afraid about reactions.

We had FFH, Shazam, Dark Phoenix, Dumbo and The Lion King.  Generally good reactions, but TLK was the one that people went nuts for.  Someone shouted “my body is ready” and then someone else said “Mufasa dies” and another person yelled “Spoilers!”  It was great.  Audience was eating it up.  That movie is going to print money.

CM has had some unusually high pre-sales though. Anyways Charlie's calculation is just a work in progress. We might just have to wait another 24 hrs to get the Friday number.

Imagine the situation when Pika-Pika opens. It woundt surprise me if we would have to wait weeks for the Opening weekend numbers.

They have already started counting. They are counting the capacity gross of USA because of-course Pika Pika will run 100%.
