Burton's Batman too. That's a silly reason to not count them as origin films.

But as my earlier comment suggested, its most likely because the character was introduced in Civil War and the events of Homecoming is post that.

Saw it last night, really solid entertaining film. Two big variances from the character/lore that even I as a casual Captain Marvel reader over the decades noticed. One I fully expected, the other I did not(cause I stay off spoilers but it was probably revealed there).

My 400 seat theater was about 80%+ full at 7:30pm

It apparently rose to $34M in China thanks to our good buddy @fmpro providing numbers.

BOM actually does count Batman '89. So yeah it's dumb that they include everything but BP.

Ha. I guess because he never appeared in anything before. But, yeah, very odd. BP should definitely count.

I meant the 1.5 Billion one. But I guess you already know what I meant.

I wonder how much of the big weekend can be attributed to this year's quiet box office so far. Kinda reminds me of Deadpool's opening back in 2016.

That estimates seem to stick, though I have more confidence in higher limit now. Don't '@' me before 9PM EST now.

for my gf and my friends, this is the first movie we are watching in theaters this year.

Been a rather dead box office this year.

Friendly reminder especially for our new(er) posters that our resident gods such as Rth and Empire are not allowed to give us preview numbers.

Wait... Why?

Very (very) early estimate of 39-43 for pure Friday, trying to make conservative assumptions.
