No, I meant it’s embarrassing that I didn’t get your post before you explained.

So what records can we say this Monday number broke?

Highest Monday ever for a Marvel solo superheroine.

Highest Monday ever for a Brie Larson movie.

Highest Monday ever for a movie whose title starts with "Cap" and ends with "el".

I said screen cap over 10M Monday and I was right. what a winning streak! OS increase from estimates? check. dom increase from estimates? check. I predicted them all. now only 15M Tuesday.

also, 10.8M is almost 11M. so 11M in the cards? this is an early estimate and they tend to be on lower side.

Early estimates on the weekend thread tend to be on the higher side though. The actuals almost always come in lower.

Assuming 18.6 post-CM, that means around 2.4 billion for endgame and 1 billion for Far From Home. Not impossible, but it will definitely be interesting to see. I expect Endgame will shatter opening records once more, but the question will be in its repeat value (especially if it truly is very long). Far From Home has a decent chance at the billion...

Endgame I expect will be around $2.3 B and Far From Home around 1.1B.

As for schools off the day after Easter...every Catholic school in the US, the entire DC school system (since they have a big National Zoo event and the Easter Egg roll at the White House), almost every Northern Virginia school system...and those are just the ones off the top of my head...Easter Monday has a lot of folks off, and more importantly, most of those folks were the ones staying in Sunday to celebrate Easter, so they are raring to go for a movie Monday:)...

The week before Easter is the BETTER week for movies (more off), but no matter when Easter is, the Monday after is also a very good day...
