Also how long a movie runs, .... Some are nearly always slow burner, see Japan (not released yet), others tend to be what we'd call extreme front-loaded but is normal, like China in general, and in this case seemingly even more so. If a movie gets released nearly all over the world, the weekend drops for e.g. OS will be higher than in a case when less countries started at once, and then some countries get added freshly every week or so, and as such soften the appearance of the drop, but still provide the same finals. Hence another reason why not to jump on conclusions about OS numbers. In the end its about the final numbers, and those are usually not 1 : 2 (dom : OS), if its a first appearance in a movie. There are exceptions. If you want to compare, please check the exchange rates of the release years and compare it today's rate, as BOM again and again adjusts to the rate of the day they change, AIW lost a lot of its end-result based on that as an example,....
