dudalb
But this certainly has the most convluted and complex history of any Coppola film since the legendary shenanigans that took place during the filming of Apocalypse Now.

The last 20 Minutes of Apocalypse Now come to mind.

dudalb
I hope that review was a failed attempt at humor. If not, then Coppola has gone into Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now territory. Edited September 19 by dudalb

harry713
Mostly didn’t work as a whole even though I liked a lot of its ideas. The style and premise of this film feels naturally tailored for me, so I still enjoyed it for the parts of its sum, but I can’t in good conscience recommend this to most people. 2.5/5 PS.. the live event before the premiere featured Bobby Deniro and Spike Lee as guest panelists for FFC and was very politically charged at times. Too many people hre seem unable to get not every movie is big budget franchsie movie. It looks as though Megalopolie is going to a miss..an ambitious film that falls short of it ambitions, but I am glad one of the great directors took a swing at it. dudalb
What is sad about the failure is it will be even hard to get a film that in not aimed at the 15 to 30 male demo..ie a film that is not full of action and fancy cgi effects...greenlit. Film , as far as theaterical relases go..is dead as an artform. It has gone full circle is now back to being a visual sideshow, as in the Nickloodeon days. lorddemaxus
Ngl, the most this movie reminded me of was the prequels. Phantom menace especially in the ending Edited Wednesday at 05:48 AM by lorddemaxus

WittyUsername
I’ve seen at least a couple of people compare this to a Neil Breen film.
