Civil war A Cinemascore  2.4x legs. Superhero genre is much broader than you think in box office.

I think Shazam Multiplier will be around 2.8x

2.28, even. Which is a fair bit worse.

College basketball and college football are very big draws in the US.

March Madness - what the NCAA Basketball tournament is one of the most followed sporting events in the country (and many Americans take part in betting pools, known as brackets, on it).

FWIW, viewership of the Championship game last night was up 19.

Its a good example for a good WoM, but as the end is not uplifting, not a movie all will want to rewatch = low MP

Interesting, I have 73% recomendation, a gap between males and females, in e.g. women over the age of 25y gave 91%, younger a bit less.

As they do the surveys at severel days during 2 weekends, that might be the reason for the differences.

Due to Endgame i can see Shazam's legs getting cut. But it would be very unpresedented for Shazam to have bad drops already this week. If that would happen then something wrong happened with Shazam's cinemascore. Because if a superhero movie isn't hated it doesn't drop like crazy the first week after a pretty small opening like Shazam had. We will have our answer tomorrow and the weekend if everything is like predicted or if Cinemascore got the audience reaction wrong.

I don’t really buy the sad ending-> low rewatch theory for CW. IW had a sad ending and I think was hugely rewatched. think the main driver was playing as Avengers 2.5 for days 1-3 but Captain America 3 for days 4-90.

Camila Cabello, formally of the pop group Fifth Harmony, has been tapped to star in a new iteration of Cinderella, written and to be directed by Pitch Perfect scribe Kay Cannon. Set at Sony Pictures, the project, which is on the fast track for production, is based on an original idea from late night host James Corden who producing the pic with Leo Pearlman under their Fulwell73 shingle. 16.24m viewers. Almost on par with Monday Night Football. No real difference from movies that have to face that on Monday’s from September on.

Civil War was a little different. It was more mellow and solemn depressing. Infinity War was more “What in the hell” depressing for the GA. Seeing all the pomp and celebration around Black Panther just 2 months before only to see him get blown to dust in the movie was stunning for a lot of people.
