Dayum Hellboy is falling 92% this weekend. Next weekend the boxoffice will just be a bus pass.

Wow! I don't think I've ever seen a drop like that, at least for a movie that is still showing wide (ie. Victor Frankenstein dropped 93.0% on TFA's opening weekend but was only showing in 578 theatres the weekend before and dropped to 42).

What's the theatre drop for Hellboy like next weekend? Anyone know?

I was going with Sat 107-111, 2nd update yesterday ended up higher end of trying to stay conservative lol

Okay so it probably won't jump quite like IW did from true Friday but still an awesome number nonetheless!

Really hoping it clears $110M!

Even the lower number still puts us right on track for $350m. If it comes in above the higher number then up to $370m is feasible.

EDIT: Also remember that @RtheEnd first update yesterday topped out at $153m, so this pushing up to $115m or more isn't a big jump.

It's just business though. Disney is not going to stop furthering their business interests just so people like you can feel better.

Again, focus your energies on hoping other studios up their game, rather than on Disney failing. That ain't gonna happen.

There’s nothing to focus my energies on lol, I’m not changing anything one way or another.

I’m simply saying that I’ll have some satisfaction if a corporation’s plan, that is to promote lazy art because it’s easier for them to mass produce, backfires on them.  If it doesn’t, oh well.

I don’t think I have any obligation to be happy and positive toward the Disney films that I think, for the most part, are uncreative and cheap.

So we're looking at 360 million right now.

My club was too safe. I lowballed the hype around the ending of the biggest franchise in history.
