Scubasteve716
Not sure I buy it’s because of needing max content. I would imagine they could get a January date with theaters and they could put it on max 16 days later. Are they really going to put it on max in November or December? Doubt that and Barbie is going to dominate December anyway.

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if both are announced at the same time since Warner's earnings call or something is coming up.
Krissykins
I wonder how he got to see it? Maybe they thought “let’s see what he thinks before we decide what to do with it” and then were met with a “it’s fine” lol

He liked the Shining, but said it was more Kubrick's s The Shining then Stephan King's The SHining, . But, yes, Kind has been known to backtrack on endorsements of his film. Yeh I get that, of course, I meant more if they were planning to scrap it what kind of state is it in/would they be allowed to show it to anyone. Krissykins
Well at least it’s not being deleted, I guess. But yes this has been dwindling away on a shelf now for a good while.

Yes, being on the shelf for so long is almost never a good sign. The Disrect to Streaming/VOD has been on the cards fo rthis for a long time. Can't balme the studio, given how much theatrical distrubtion costs nowdays.
