Avengers: Endgame Monday Thread (4/29): 36.87M (3rd best Monday ever)

I’ve got to say something, and it might sound like I’m joking, but I’m not joking.     

 

Endgame’s 357M clearly left a lot of demand unmet (lol), and it’s spilling over into weekdays. Normally you get a spillover Mon, and a spillover Tues, and then things become sort of normal.      

 

But I’m not sure if Mon+Tues can get the job done this time. I’m not sure if Mon+Tues+Wed+Thurs can. Wondering seriously to what extent we might see a “spillover second weekend.”

With Endgames % drops Mon-Sun Endgame gets to 612mil by Sunday, if the 40mil Monday holds true and we apply IW drops from that point forwards that number goes up to 672mil (including 185mil 2nd Weekend)

My God, this movie is going to hit the top 10 adjusted for inflation chart. That’s insane!!

I’m not a huge Marvel fan really. So this film was eh for me.

 

However I’m rooting for this to beat Avatar for two reasons: 1. For numbers sake; 2. Because I’ve always viewed Avatar so over-rated it’s not even funny. Marvel at least deserves to reign over it after the years they’ve spent building up to it.

The "muted" Sat increase (for an MCU Film) suggests so

Holy Shirt..... this movie continues to blow my mind and I havent even had a chance to see it yet... 

 

Side note, I for one miss @EmpireCity. Minus the last meltdown with Baumer, he fell prey to those here that intentionally would goad him which was just as annoying. 

 

Thankful for Charlie and Rth though! Glad to.atill have the inside scoop.

Naw, really the only marvel films I’ve seen are Iron man 1, avengers 1, thor 3, black panther, captain america civil war, avengers infinity war, and then this one. My bf who loves marvel didn’t see captain marvel and after endgame probably won’t.

Empires antic grew thin with me. Glad that dude left. Dude called Wonder Woman bad, and WW ended up being awesome.

Yeah, I agree. Never seen a day so obviously stopped from a “natural” bump by running into a sheer “number of DOM movie theater seats” issue as Endgame Sat.

You both should, it's not the same level as IM1 or GOTG, but it's still fun and has great performances from Brie Larson, SLJ, Ben Mendelsohn and from the flerken Goose/Chewie.

Landing in any of these given ranges on Monday would be incredible for Endgame. Everything about this film's run thus far has just been jaw-dropping.
