Well, that Friday number is.....underwhelming (relative to its weekdays, mind you!!!). I'm hoping for a bigger than expected Saturday bump.

150-155 is a good enough weekend

Of course it is! Again, I just really didn't think the Friday bump would be so low. If the Saturday bump is low too then we know demand is fast being burnt off, even if the numbers are big at face value.

They need many contents to put on their streaming service Disney+. Next year their mega biggie is Avatar 2. Some not-so-big ones are 2 MCU movies (possibly Eternals and Black Widow), Jungle Cruise, Mulan, and Pixar's Onward. Damn next year looks like Disney will be on drought of big blockbusters.

Yep. As I've been saying they went for it this year. All out. 2020 in general will be a down year, I think.

An ultra light superhero 2020 could be a boon to DC as demand will be built up nicely for The Batman.

If birds of prey is as bad as suicide squad (which it very well might be), the DC brand's gonna take a hit.

I don't see Disney/Marvel backing off from their plan for three MCU movies a year.

GOTG3 got delayed due to their own dumb-assery, so there's only gonna be 2 MCU films next year. DC might release 3 films though, since Gunn starts shooting GOTG 3 in 2020, so Squad 2 could be moved up.

I thought The Eternals, Black Widow and Shang Chi were all 2020 films

That movie is really a wild card with Cathy Yan but DC in general has hit three in a row in terms of non-Snyder associated movies.

Honestly BoP could be a complete bust and the first solo Batman in 9 years will still sleepwalk to like 1.2+

Oh yeah I forgot about the GOTG3 delay. That whole circus was silly.

Shang Chi only just got a director. Early 2021 seems likely.

The Big 4 of Disney, A:EG, TLK, Frozen 2 and SW:TRS might cross $3 Billion on their own when no studio has grossed $2.5 Billion till date. ffs Captain Marvel might end up as below average Disney film in 2019, ignoring Pennguins and I don't think any non-Disney film is beating CM this year.

Or alternatively, big 4 of disney: TLK, AEG, Frozen 2, and Captain Marvel! ;)

They could probably make Black Widow April/May, Eternals Summer, Shang-Chi November if they want to fast track it. We’ll find out soon enough.
