After delaying Avatar yet again, I really thought Disney might move an MCU film to December, either Eternals or Shang-Chi. After seeing how Aquaman performed, it seemed like a golden opportunity.

Maybe Marvel doesn’t want to risk December for a new IP.

Do we even know if the second Pixar original is actually coming out on schedule? We don’t even have a title for it.

I think the latest Disney reschedule still confirms its release, so I think that means it's staying there?

lol. Spider-Man isn't holding a candle to Donald Glover lion.

Exactly (.......) I just mentioned what would be considered underperforming after the more recent revised forum projections because if we go a bit further back in time.....

have we heard confirmation one way or the other about Donald Glover in the Spider-Man movie?

I'm just imagining him trying to buy weapons in Europe and happens to stumble on Peter Parker on his school trip.

Are there WDAS movies scheduled for next year? I'm still waiting for that Zootopia 2 announcement.

I just want less Pixar sequels.

No more Pixar sequels starting next year. TS4 will be their last. Unless they suddenly announce Incredibles 3, which I'm all for.

Most people said 50 million besides Tenta and Capp lol

this def will pass 50 million

Did they? I recall one poster saying $55m, but it seemed like most posters were between $60-80m and others were expecting higher or some kind of surprise

They scheduled something for Nov 25, 2020, and haven't given any information about it.

Yeah, looking forward to Zootopia 2 as well.

First Shazam and now Pikachu. What's wrong with WB in China? Aquaman was huge there.

Starting to get worried for how Godzilla 2 will do there...

Forgot to quote this earlier but this is pretty silly to say imo. Shazam and Pikachu are both the kind of thing China's not huge on from what we've heard from people. It's childish/family-friendly live action stuff which China's not really into. KoTM is a big monster action movie. We'll see how it does in China but that's really not the same thing at all.

This might be a 'spoiler', but I might have seen from somewhere that the working title for that film is "Dragon Empire". I might be wrong about that.

I will make an WW2 Over 500M domestic club once the trailer drops. I expect most of you to join

I can see it possible, it seems like the only film of 2020 with a chance at it.

If they moved West Side Story to the 23rd and put Eternals in its place it would work out great actually. Surprised they didn’t go for it seeing how well Aquaman did.

Exactly. Besides the family competition from Croods 2, Vivo and Clifford as well as Disney’s own Dragon Empire and Fox/Locksmith’s Ron Gone Wrong would’ve hurt Cruella and doom it sub $100M. If they kicked off November with it, it’d be ahead of it’s competition.

I would’ve done:

November 6th - Cruella

November 25th - Dragon Empire

December 11th - Ron Gone Wrong

December 18th - The Eternals

December 23rd - West Side Story

If true I like it, sounds like a Fantasy themed one....

I'm kind of expecting some Disney changes still to come. Especially thanks to Marvel. I know they just gave a big schedule update, but I think when some Marvel movies get announced at D23 or SDCC, they'll wind up moving some non-Marvel films around too. That's my guess at least.

Wow. So an original? Kudos to Disney if all their animated movies (Pixar + WDAS) next year are originals.

Looking around NYC theaters. Pikachu is doing good. Not too many sellouts but seats are filled up. Its doing way better than Endgame during day shows. Problem is that Endgame has way more screen count than Pikachu. I expect Endgame to win Pure Friday gross. Something like 16.5m vs 15m for Pikachu(minus previews).
