Disney+ MCU: The Falcon & The Winter Soldier | Featuring Captain Ughmerica and Battlestar Galactica

Recommended Posts

Wonder how long Disney will take to pull the trigger and resume filming. It’s pretty telling that the article mentions all the other projects but no word on Falcon and Winter Soldier resuming.

The Commission tells us that Carnival Row and 473 Transatlantic are prepping to get back into production. Wheel Of Time may be a little further off, they say. We have reached out to the producers for more details on restart dates. Sources tell us the Netflix movie is definitely gearing up.”

Also the requirements seem fair, I wonder if other international productions will adopt something similar to this:

The road back to production won’t be straight-forward, however. Czech film commissioner Pavlina Zipkova says that foreign actors and crew members “must show a negative test when leaving their country, a measure that, according to the latest reports, airlines will also begin to require for all their passengers.”

“Within 72 hours of arrival, they will undergo a second test, and remain quarantined until they receive a negative result,” she added. “The result is usually received the next day. In this way they can avoid the 14-day quarantine, which would severely impact film budgets.”

Betting we'll get a new release month for this at the Disney earnings call. They announced the August date at the last one, and they'll want to boost shareholder confidence so we'll probably get an announcement for like October or November or something. Maybe one for Loki too.

So this is pretty much confirmed not to be coming out in 2020 right?

Unless they release it concurrently with Mando or Wanda which seems highly unlikely, plus it’s just started back filming and may be linked to Black Widow in some form. I’m guessing it’ll be a March or April release after Black Widow in either November or more likely February.

This could be a case of someone involved much earlier, and it's just being made public now...or I'm wondering if it's actually a narrative course-correction with a new character that Feige/the showrunners are making to reposition the show in a slightly different place simply because thing are going to unfold on the big screen and small screen differently than originally planned due to the pandemic shuffling everything...
