YMMV and maybe because I'm already a Godzilla fan buuut....I personally loved the human story. It felt like a mix of classic Toho stuff and Spielberg. I really loved the characters and how the main ones developed, and it was serious but not too heavy. My favorite Godzilla script since GMK.

His stuff in the movie was my favorite though honestly I really loved Kyle Chandler and Vera Farmiga in this? I was not expecting to, but I love how they have different views on the titans and I loved the redemption story for both of them.

Rodan and Ghidorah's songs aren't as iconic and they bought the rights to Godzilla and Mothra's already.

He was very expressive in G-2014, it's a bit more but it's the same MoCap actor and everything.
