WW84 is doing similar numbers in 3 of the 4 theaters I've tracking to TENET and, in the bigger one, WW84 is underperforming. BoP comparison favors WW84 because the former flopped in Spain. Let's extrapolate those numbers to OW adding New Mutants: TENET OW BIRDS OF PREY OW NEW MUTANTS OW WW84 OW 1,10M 1,75M 1,69M With those numbers and the times we are living in, I'm being cautious and I predict 1.2M OW for WW84 with all Christmas coming ahead. November had a lot more cases and similar deaths than in Summer. Our curve is starting to go up again (our peak was 26k cases on 30th October, we are at 12.192 today). People are going out a lot, it seems like COVID doesn't matter that much for a lot of people and Madrid center for example is always full. Krissykins
Oh that’s more than I thought. I wonder if it can hit $100m worldwide over the next few months in play with the late December, January and February openings.

With a 40m OW without LA and as long as europe does 10m or more this weekend it will easily go over $100m WW. Europe will have atleast 3 - 4 multi from OW asian markets should do around 2 multi (some under, some over problaby).
Legion Again
Doubt it hits 20M China+Japan this weekend. Overall OS probably more in the ballpark of 35 is my guess.

Not sure if about legs here noting that piracy will be rampant starting from next week. Even here in Singapore where it is solely released in theaters; I had hard time getting friends to go watch it in theaters as they know the movie will be out in HD next week.... It feels like Mulan all over again..
Krissykins
Not surprised by these numbers considering what’s going on in the world and the obvious part about it being online in a week. Hard to measure “underperformance” when there’s no like for like comparable, IMO. Edited December 20, 2020 by Krissykins
across the Jat verse
Nearly all of numbers are from Asia, with Europe being barely $3mn. So don't expect big multiple. China: 19 OW - 27 Closing Rest Asia: 13 OW - 26 Closing Europe: 3 OW - 7-8 Closing Total: 35 OW - 60 Closing Next weekend Korea (4-5 OW), ANZ (4+ OW), India (1 OW) opening. They should close at 20 ish. Then Russia should do 5-10. That's it. 90-100 ish before European markets open and excluding Latin America. $150mn WW will take some doing, though should be able to do. Krissykins
Anything over $100m WW, I can accept considering what’s going on and the online deals, HBO Max, early PVOD (UK 13th Jan etc). The $19.7m non China is quite surprising to be honest, to me anyway, in a good way.

Krissykins
How the heck did it do $1.2m in the UK? There’s under 200 cinemas open and we’re at 40% capacity. Sadly most closed yesterday and the rest on Christmas Eve now.
