RealLyre
I see a bit of overreacting over the Annabelle numbers. the OD to previews internal multi is a bit worrying but that just shows how much TCU franchise is front-loaded, it was never going to do 40M+ 5-day. if the Tuesday previews weren't as high I don't think people will be that upset over a 7.2M OD. I think it can recover over the weekend and pull a $30M-$32M OW and having seen the movie I think it will have a better WoM than the Nun or Llorona so it should finish with close to 70M domestic (which might sound bad since it's the 2nd lowest in the franchise, but it's still solid for a low-budget R-rated horror). I also think OS will overperform more than the average TCU film so WW total could go as high as 250M imo. which almost matches the worldwide gross of the first Annabelle. ofc I could be wrong and Annabelle might crash and burn after the weekend and make sub 200M WW but I don't think that's likely, the movie is a crowd-pleaser. And even if that happens Annabelle would still be a hit since it cost like 27M or something to make. this should get people excited for the Conjuring 3 next year though the director attached to that is not encouraging. Blaze Heatnix
The B- CinemaScore for Annabelle 3 isn't a good sig for legs. Even the toxic first Annabelle had a better CinemaScore. The Curse of La Llorona got the same B- CinemaScore, with shitty legs. La Llorona made 26 million in 3 days. It's bad if Annabelle makes 28/30 million in 5 days. I would expect the same legs for Annabelle 3. A 2.1/2.2x multiplier. The question is if it'll get that multiplier based on all 5 days or just 3 days like La Llorona. The critics are liking it, The audience score is WAY higher than what Llorona had.

When a shitty movie makes in 3 days the same thing that a better movie might make in 5 days, this is a bad sign. It's a good movie paying the price of a bad previous movie.
