I just want to remind us that what we are frequently getting from Charlie is a privilege, regardless of accuracy.

Rth rarely shows up. Don't even mention the period of Empire City. Charlie always tries to provide us with the best numbers as early as possible. It's okay to be off.

About FFH, it's doing great. The reason it may not increase much from HC is simply because HC made so much money. There isn't much room to grow here. FFH may finish similarly to how Guardians 2 jumped over Guardians 1.

Anyway, 600M by Sunday, 1.100-1.200B finish. Cry over that.

I wonder why @RtheEnd doesn’t post any more, even during big movie weekends. I hope everything is okay with him. I know we are in good hands with Charlie,  but it would be nice to see how Rth is interpreting the numbers.

They were around for Endgame. No big openings since then :Venom:

He has been quite busy the last one year, i think, he texted someone about it.

Definitely on par with Spider-Man 2, which is my favorite Spidey movie. And I'm so pumped for the next phase of the MCU. The feeling is so different with this movie in comparison to the previous phases of the MCU ... and in a very good way, too.

Midsommar has recovered and has a decent audience score for an arty horror movie on rt with 72%, low sample size though. 8.0 on imdb

I would honestly chalk that up to lack of misleading marketing. Hereditary was a GREAT movie, but it was not what people would expect from the trailers, hence the awful audience scores. In the case of Midsommar, everyone who walks into it knows exactly what they're getting.

So is it looking at high teens by sunday or more? BTW why did it open on Monday? are there any holidays this week down under.

Completely random meaningless Monday.

Should add an absolute minimum AUD8m by Sunday so anywhere from AUD15-20m by Sunday.

I can’t think of a previous release it could be compared to.

People were disappointed in Homecoming’s opening too but it legged it out pretty well.

This and the second weekend drop led to "it's going to miss $300m"...
