Jumanji could top CM if received well

Nah. Star Wars will hit it, $300-$335 million domestic may be the bar for it. But Star Wars will decrease too.

Haven't seen Venom in its entirety but outside of Hardy jumping in a lobster tank it just looks bad.

Now I've seen it in full. It was baaaaaaad.

Wow! Excellent increase for FFH. Well deserved too. And we all know that Marvel owns Saturdays. Let’s see if it can increase. Deadline reverted back to form.

Sigh. Weekend will be $5-6m. Hopefully 5 day stays above $10m to save some face.

Save face? Was the budget really inflated? Seems like it's doing as expected.

Apparently the budget was like $10M or so. Movie's doing fine for how inaccessible it is.

After seeing TS4 and Midsommar yesterday, my only option today is....Yesterday. I don't think I can do it.

I think the worry here is how big the marketing costs are for this film. Apparently Annabelle creation had spent 100m dollars in Marketing despite only having production budget of 15m

Great WOM is helping it. If it were released in October, it would've been another $100m grosser, urgh.

It's A24. They never spend millions in marketing for anything.

So after the whole "what went wrong" discussion (spidey fatigue, releasing right after Endgame, etc.) FFH will likely have a 6-day total between 180-190. The overreactions will never not be both equally annoying and hilarious.

Box office slump found dead in a ditch.

MCU has no time for this silly franchise fatigue nonsense.

I hope you're right but history makes me think otherwise.

Are pre-sales better than on Friday?

All I'm saying is that we've never really had any movie open with the same pattern as far from home. So it's really hard to judge what it will do. I do agree with you that it's not going to jump that much but I just don't see it staying flat or decreasing. The matinees today you should be stronger than Friday because at least some people are working on Friday.
