Porg: The Movie

January 12, 7:00 PM, 20% full

Trailers:

Annihilation (Some teenage girls in the front were talking to themselves during the trailer. That wasn't fun)

JurassIIc World (Same teenage girls continued to talk nonsense during the first half, but when the volcano shiz happened, it went back to silent. I think there were one or two murmurs)

Alita: Battle Angel (dead silent)

A Wrinkle in Time (Laughs at Galifianakis)

Avengers: Infinity War (Noticeable chatter and talks)

Laughs at expected parts, people seemed to like it as they went out.

Spoiler

The part when Holdo ran the ship through the First Order's ship, and the whole movie went silent, some douche said out loud "Why didn't you do that before?" Totally killed the vibe. T_T I think he made a few other snide comments towards the end, which wasn't fun. Movie's still great though.

The Post

January 13, 1:00PM, 60% full

Trailers:

Chappaquiddick

Sicario 2: Cartel Boogaloo

Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again (most of the room was audibly surprised by the Cher reveal. I had already seen the trailer online, so I've already gone through all the stages of grief.)

Annihilation

Love, Simon

Red Sparrow

Movie: The definition of a crowdpleaser. Not great, but it hits the spot.

I saw The Post today and my audience reacted the same exact way when Cher appeared. I kinda love how the trailer builds up her reveal in the same way as Spider-Man in the Civil War trailer lmao.

You don't know a good time until you've been in a room of sixtysomething white people feverishly whispering to each other "Is that Cher?!"

(P.S. I love your avatar. He's so great, isn't he?)

Oh Christ, I was hoping this wasn't attached. Now I have to deal with a bunch of homophobic seniors being grossed out whenever I see The Post :gold:

My showing was both sold out and really old and the Love, Simon trailer got a ton of laughs at the end ("I'm heterosexual, mom." "OH GOD HELP ME JESUS!" ).
