Maquia: When The Promised Flower Blooms

July 21st, 12:55 pm, 6-7 patrons (all young men)

Regal Mayfaire Stadium 16, Wilmington NC

(no trailers)

Appropriately quiet audience. The film made me emotional at the end, as it did for others. A worker was standing at the theater's alleyway, smiling at the screen as the film was ending, and when I walked by, I pointed to the screen as the credits rolled, saying, "Great film," and the worker smiled, nodding his head. I then walked down the hallway where all the theater entrances are, briskly and with vigor.

Regal Mayfaire Stadium 16, Wilmington NC

Trailers

The Predator [red band]

Hell Fest

Nobody's Fool

Night School

The Meg

Serenity

The Girl in the Spider's Web

White Boy Rick

(Yep. That's right. Eight. Entire. Trailers. Ugh.)

Laughs at appropriate times. The patron next to me fell asleep multiple times, as the first half is practically as slow as molasses. But there was excited chatter among the crowd as the audience shuffled out.

Decent laughs throughout, although it definitely tapered near the end. Someone behind me was screaming "This movie is so stupid!" for the last five minutes. BTW, this theater was awesome; IMAX-sized screen with a sound system to boot and I watched the movie on a couch with a nice alcoholic beverage in my hand. Wonderful.

Teen Titans GO! To The Movies

4 PM

Two sets of women with one child each, an old couple with a young kid, the couple kept switching off to go to the bathroom (Or Watch MI:F/Equalizer) or scroll through their phones.

Trailers

The House With a Clock In Its Walls

Goosebumps Haunted Halloween*
Bumblebee

Alpha
Lego Movie 2
Smallfoot

*Had the new MPAA screen.

A short with DC Super Hero Girls in Faust's original style for them, which I guess they're using for the 2.0 CN show. Damn, isn't Tara Strong tired?

I had some laughs, me and the 5 year olds. The adults were mostly quiet.
