Morbius (4DX)

1:20 PM

15 people.

Trailers:

Nope (audio was extra loud for this one)

Spider Man: Across the Spiderverse

Bullet Train

Fantastic Beasts (4DX)

Doctor Strange (4DX)

Top Gun: Maverick (4DX)

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (4DX) (for some reason this one came after the Regal Unlimted ad that comes after the trailers and the 4DX effects weren't synched up)

Some laughs, but not really a whole lot of reaction from the crowd. Lots of chatter about how the post credits scene ties into Spider-Man walking out so I guess people like it? I thought it was pretty bad.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2

4/6 Early Access Screening

4DX 90% Full.

Trailers:

Spider-Man: Across The Spiderverse

Minions: Rise of Gru

Paws of Fury

Fantastic Beasts (4DX)

Doctor Strange (4DX)

Top Gun: Maveric (4DX)

Sonic 2 (For some reason it was a trailer highliten the early access screenings despite that being the exact showing)

Sonic 2 (For some reason we got another Sonic trailer. It was a short one I also saw before Morbius where it had the 4DX effects, but they were all out of sync)

The crowd loved it. Had a good mix of both kids and adult Sonic fans. A ton of laughs and some cheers at moments I won't mention due to spoilers. Also I don't think most of the crowd had seen a movie in 4DX before because the effects got big reactions from the crowd. Cheers and applause when the end credits started and a ton of cheers at the post credit scenes. The whole theater went crazy. Really good movie!

Everything Everywhere All At Once

12:20

Top Gun 2

Firestarter

Doctor Strange

Bullet Train

Nope

Nic Cage's Self Wank film, idk the name.

I think this is probably the most accessible A24 film and yet it had the smallest audience out of the 3 I've seen in theaters with me and 2 other people. I had some chuckles but the others were silent. Surprised we didn't get other A24 trailers (Men, Marcel)

Sonic The Hedgehog 2

Where we had 3 lonely souls yesterday, we had about 100 people today. Many families, a few teenagers.

Trailers:

The Bad Guys

League of Superpets - Now I have sen thousands of movies in the theater, but this is the only time I saw a trailer with hardcoded subtitles for an English film.

Something I thought was a Kung Fu Panda 4 before it showed a cat and a bunch of unfunny jokes.

Kids had a lot of fun with this. Sometimes there were shouts of "YOU'RE HOT" (When Shemar Moore appeared), A few cheers (When Dr. Stone came back), "WHAT THE HECK" (IDR, Knuckles did something). There were even a few decent laughs from adults.

Spoiler

People who knew freaked out at the stinger.

13 people.

Trailers:

Doctor Strange

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

Elvis

Where the Crawdads Sing

Good amount of laughter at the humorous moments. Was a funnier film than I was expecting it to be. Some sniffles at the end. Everyone stayed through the credits to watch the archive footage of the actual Stu Long. Audience seemed to really enjoy it. I myself thought it was very meh.
