Everything below the top 6 is going to have their theater counts slashed next week. #5 and 6 will probably see smaller decreases.

As they should cause they have laughably low PTA for such big theater count. That's a lot of empty seats that TLK would like to fill with its fans.

Massive start incoming for The Farewell. Hopefully the start of a great run.

In limited release news, Bleecker Street's The Art of Self-Defense opened in seven theaters yesterday. The Jesse Eisenberg/Imogen Poots comedy should earn around $141,000 and a decent $20,185 per-theater-average. Lulu Wang's acclaimed The Farewell roared into four theaters yesterday. The A24 release, about a family saying goodbye to a dying matriarch who doesn't know she's dying, earned around $110,000 on Friday for a possible $330,000 weekend and boffo $83,427 per-theater-average. If that holds, the Awkwafina flick will score the year's biggest per-theater-average, displacing, uh, Avengers: Endgame ($357.1 million in 4,662 theaters). Yes, this one is going to expand over the next month.

Looks like pretty good holds all around this weekend. I wonder if TS4 will be hurt by TLK next weekend or if Disney will pull their usual double-feature shenanigans (or will Aladdin be the beneficiary instead).

Expect a 15-20% drop for TS4 next weekend.

Hello everyone, didn't come here in a while, I was so busy.

Now I'm excited to know what is the overall performance of Toy Story 4 on a global scale, would someone mind summing it up to me? :)

It's really too bad that crawl is not going to do that while at the theater. It might be my favorite movie of the year so far. It is fucking intense and the alligator scenes are incredible. Does just the right amount of killing and some really good interpersonal relationships as well. This is definitely an old-school 80s kind of horror movie in my opinion.

Yep....too much for me. Respect the intensity though. I remember seeing that trailer and going....oh hell no.

This is awesome to hear! I look forward to seeing it. I'm actually high on both Crawl and Stuber. Like you said though, too bad both are making a pittance at the box office.

Summer weekdays and August holds should close the gap between FFH and GotG2/Captain Marvel, no?

TS3 was huge in EU. TS4 is a bit underwhelming there

Less than TS3 doesn't automatically mean 'bad' though. It depends on the actual grosses. For me, it's bad if it flops.
