Crawl hit the hardest today, hopefully it doesn’t suffer too heavily Thursday and this weekend. Excellent hold for Midsommar.
RamblinRed
Some great holds. Wednesday was the last day to really make some money before TLK comes in and starts sucking the oxygen out of the room. It will be interesting to see what the Thursday drops are going to be like as alot of these movies will lose either theaters and/or screens Thursday evening. I'm expecting larger than normal Thursday drops for alot of these movies. Then the weekend will be interesting as well to see how well movies hold. Its hard to guess what will happen this weekend, if Lion King does go over $200m, other films could benefit from being a second choice due to sell outs. Alexandros
Those huge drops that people are expecting, will it be because of a drastic theater count reduction?

RamblinRed
32 minutes ago, Charlie Jatinder said: Expecting 21.7mn for FFH and 1.7mn for A:EG I'm thinking 19.5-20.5 for FFH. I just don't see how it has a drop of less than 55% this weekend. It is losing a ton of showtimes and loses its IMAX and PLF screens, so it loses its premium ticket pricing. As i mentioned yesterday in my area FFH is losing roughly 55% of its showings for the weekend. TLK is gobbling up so many screens. Opening on more than FFH did a couple of weeks ago. The double whammy of losing premium ticket prices and losing alot of showings (if not any theaters) makes me expect a bigger fall for FFH this weekend than it suffered last weekend. I can't see 1.7M for AE either. That would be a miniscule drop from last weekend. It's run since the re-release has been really impressive and Disney is protecting it the best it can this weekend, but there is only so much they can do. It actually didn't get taken out of any of the theaters its been in around me, but in all but one of those theaters it dropped to a single showing a day. (Most were doing 3 showings a day as of Wed). I'm thinking 1.1. TS4 didn't seem to get impacted much at all. It basically kept its screens and showtimes. In most of the theaters it and FFH now have the same number of showings. Aladdin fared well to. In most of the theaters it kept its showtimes, in a couple of them it lost its late night showing.
